Need a last-minute Valentine’s dessert? Well I’ve got the perfect thing. These started out as a birthday treat for my daughter, she wanted strawberry brownies. So I go straight to pinterest and stumble across this amazingly easy recipe. I can’t take credit at all, but I HAD to share. Even if you are not a baker, you can do this. Only 20 minutes to prepare and bake. Easy, peasy!! The link for the original recipe is at the bottom of this post. Here’s what you’ll need:
One box strawberry cake mix
1/3 cup vegetable oil
- Combine all ingredients until well mixed.
- Batter will be thick, that’s ok. Don’t add anything. Spread as well as you can into a well sprayed pan, be sure not to go too thin on the edges.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Cut into hearts, sprinkle with powdered sugar(or glaze like the original recipe) and you’re done! 🙂
These were a huge hit with the kiddos! And I’m sure you could do this with any cake mix too! Enjoy!
