The kiddos swapped rooms and each got their new room painted, new artwork, bedding etc. Jackson even got a new loft bed! He loves it!! They are both very excited. And I have to say I am very pleased with how both rooms turned out!
We are done with Jackson’s room and only need to finish a few little details with Presly’s room. Thank goodness! 🙂
Here’s Jackson’s room:
Paint – All American by Olympic. We used the primer and paint in one. It was the best paint I have ever used. Of course the fumes are no fun!! BUT, it dried quickly and we only had to do one full coat and then just touch up after that. It is about $25 a gallon, but totally worth it.
Loft bed – Wal-Mart special. $170. 1 hour to put together. Sturdy. Does the trick. No bells or whistles. But my son loves it and I feel safe letting him sleep there.
Bedding – Angry Bird sheet set $22 from Target. Gray down alternative comforter from Target $35.
Curtains – Thermal, black out curtains $10 per panel from Target.
Comfy chair and pillow – Chair $15 from local thrift shop. Throw pillow $14 from Wal-Mart.
Artwork – Marvel poster $5 from Wal-Mart, Mustang car picture $30 from Hobby Lobby, metal guitar $20 Hobby Lobby, metal Indian motorcycle Hobby Lobby $7, metal W from Hobby Lobby $4.
All together including new knobs that we need to put on and a few other little things, I spent about $450. That is everything, bed included. I feel like it’s the perfect room for my little guy! I am pretty proud!! 🙂 And Jack loves it. If you have any other questions, let me know!
Until next time my friends. 🙂
